Mobility IBE

The Mobility IBE was written in .Net 2.0.

With Mobility IBE v2.0, customers have the choice to either purchase or install the IBE locally or to use it as a hosting service, just like for Flight.

By using the XML interface of the IBE, customers have the possibility to either interface their own frontend or to use HitchHiker’s frontend.

Both solutions offer the option of interfacing different, multiple visualFares databases, which enables multi-national brands to offer their rates and conditions with different fleets, currencies, calculations and languages, to various source markets, by using just one central IBE.

The enhanced search features allow for a more detailed search of a rent-a-car station within a specific city since you can differentiate the location type between airports, ports, rail, city or all available rent-a-car locations within one place.
General remarks concerning specific cities, regions or countries will be shown, when entered in visualFares Mobility Entry.
This feature is meant to allow the "owner" to provide detailed information about left or right hand driving, driver’s license requirements, visa or general topics within a region or country. Information from third parties can be imported as HTML files and the entire system is client-capable.

As a result of the rewrite the performance and response times have been dramatically improved.
Provided that the HitchHiker Web »TeMyra« was chosen, you are able to customize your web to fit your corporate identity in a separate administration area.
For those customers interfacing their own Front-end on top of our IBE a detailed API Interface description will be provided.

In addition, Hitchhiker has also redesigned its own B2B Car front-end based on the new Car IBE.

The HitchHiker application enables detailed selection and search of:

» Various package type inclusions
» Mileage allowance (and one-way conditions)
» General categories and specific vehicles
» Offers by renter’s qualifications such as min. age, credit cards,
   etc.

Therefore only appropriate offers including destination specific terms and conditions,
prices, pictures, etc, are displayed.
