Savings / Advantages:
The tariff management system visualFares Entry guarantees airlines fast loading, editing and distribution of tariffs while considerably reducing the manual workload.
visualFares Entry is widely used by numerous consolidators and wholesalers worldwide, thus simplifying and accelerating the airline's fare distribution process of fares to customers. This is done electronically, in three different high quality formats:
» Hitchhiker’s VFX format, which can be retrieved by any customer using HitchHiker
visualFares products
» HTML files which are compatible with MS Excel and Word.
» STADAF which can be imported into other 3rd party applications
In addition, Hitchhiker's e-mail Distribution Server (EMDS) spares airlines the time and trouble of distributing their fares manually to hundreds of different customers. The EMDS automatically generates individual e-mails and attaches the corresponding fare files.
Besides the optimised electronic fare distribution process, recipients benefit from the easy import of airline fares directly into their systems. Distribution to the market is very fast and requires only a minimum manual workload resulting in an increased profit for all parties involved: airlines, consolidators and wholesalers.
Along with fare levels, rules and routing information, detailed ticketing instructions are also provided when using the HitchHiker System. Moreover, visualFares Ticket-Automation customers also benefit from the reduced number of ADMs (Agency Debit Memos).
Furthermore, a link to the revenue management and auditing system of airlines is possible with visualFares read only Entry . With this application the aforementioned departments can integrate much needed transparency providing more control, observation and analysis of tariffs negotiated by their Sales Department. This in turn simplifies the balancing between negotiated tariffs and issued tickets.
For GDS fare filing HitchHiker (among others in development) proudly presents the Amadeus XML Fare Data Interface, a simple to use fare management solution that is the first fully automated system with filing facilities to be made available through a GDS. The new XML export process allows users to quickly upload and file net and negotiated fares, as well as rules, routing and ticket information directly into the Amadeus database.
The combination of HitchHiker’s fare management solution with Amadeus’ XML Fare Data Interface provides a modern and highly powerful solution for filing and instant distribution of private fares through Amadeus.
Local control over fares management with rapid, secure and precisely-timed automatic uploads have become crucial advantages in today’s increasingly competitive market. With this joint effort, an industry-first, we present a giant step forward
in terms of operational and business efficiency.
With HitchHiker's TeMyra, a complete web page for airline tariffs for business-to-business as well as business-to-consumer applications can be created.
In summary, HitchHiker's Software System includes a website to query and book airline tariffs and reduces the entire tariff management and distribution workload many times over, which in turn allows airlines to get their fares out onto the market in no time at all.
