“One picture says more than 1000 words”.

An elaborate visual presentation of the actual hotel rooms is mandatory when selling hotels on the Internet. Hotel offers, which do not incorporate visual presentations, are hardly ever successful if at all.

Do keep in mind that providing visuals on the Internet has its own requirements.
Usually, when linking a visual to your web application, the graphic will either be too big, too small, too high, or too wide.
Sometimes, a web-application will show a “portrait”-formatted visual in “landscape” and the result is as follows:

Furthermore, it is very time consuming to edit pictures to fit the proper format, eliminating bor-ders, and saving the edited pictures to the required sizes of your web-application.

If you would like to change the picture format on the web, or if you would like to distribute your data to other applications, you might have to reformat all your pictures again.

This is why we have started a project, which will ease picture loading dramatically.

With our new picture entry tool, you can just drag-and-drop your picture into the application. The application will provide you with all the entered hotel data. After that, all you need to do is to choose the appropriate hotel and click on the save button.

All pictures will be saved according to their original size. After the conversion process of your hotel data, the application will calculate the picture to the size of your target webapplica-tion, and will simultaneously crea-te thumbnails in the desired target size.

To complete the functionality (making 3rd party picture editors obsolete) we have implemented all commonly required functions needed to prepare a picture for display, such as:

» Rotate
» Flip
» Select area
» Eliminate borders
» Format assistant

Together with even more helpful functions, the new “Picture Entry” allows assignment of a picture within seconds.

The picture entry tool is available for the maintenance of Hotel pictures.

The next version will also support picture maintenance for cruise, car, motor homes, and bike.
With the visualFares Picture Editor also 3rd party software will profit from the export of visuals in the desired format and orientation for a specific web application.
